How its made

Our garments are all handmade to order using locally sourced fabrics and trims.

Personally hand picked fabrics for each and every design.

Once we have an idea of what we'd like to make we draw up a sketch and then make up a pattern - all by hand.

When making a pattern for our made to measure service all measurements are taken into account to produce a paper template to draw around on fabric - this is called a pattern.

Once the pattern is made it is placed carefully alined with the way the fabric is made, known as the grain line.

We then use a chalk or wax to draw around all the pattern pieces so as we know where to cut.

Once cut out we start making up using an overlock machine, lock stitch machine, hemming machine or a binding machine, a lot of time and care goes into making up every garment.

Only the finest quality components are used at Touche Boutique.
